AFHL’s Players of the Month – December 2024

The Alberta Female Hockey League is proud to announce the Players of the Month for the month of December – Tayla Lamabe, Macy Parsons, Reece Lacina and Harriet Rush. The league is also proud to announce this month’s recipient of the Humanitarian of the Month Award, Avery Dillabaugh.

Humanitarian of the Month

Avery DillabaughCalgary Fire Red U13 AA

Avery’s school began collecting food bank donations for the Veteran’s Food Bank. On the first day, no students had brought in any donations, so Avery took the initiative to bring out a wagon and go door-to-door. As a result, she managed to collect 150 items. Additionally, Avery has recently started volunteering as a power skating coach with the My Hockey House Pocket Rockets, a group for young players aged 4-6. This commitment requires her to get up early on Saturday mornings when many of her friends are still asleep to help budding hockey players develop their skills. We also received an email from one of Avery’s teachers praising her academic performance and leadership qualities at school.
